Trendrr July Social TV Network Rankings
Of the top 5 broadcast networks, CBS had the highest increase in broadcast social share for the month of July (up 12% from June). FOX (up 4%), ABC (up 3%), and CW (up 3%) were also up for the month of July. NBC (down 22% from June) was the only network whose broadcast social share went down for the month of July, although it was the top social broadcast network for the month of June. The drop can be mostly attributed to The Voice, who completed its successful first season run in late June.
FOX was the top social broadcast network for the month of July with 27% broadcast social share, followed by CBS with 26%. Rounding out the top 5 social broadcast networks for the month of July were NBC (25%), ABC (17%), and CW (5%).
Of the 70+ cable networks Trendrr.tv tracks, VH1 was the top social cable network for the month of July with 12% cable social share, followed by HBO with 11%. Rounding out the top 5 social cable networks for the month of July were USA Network (10%), TeenNick (9%), and MTV (7%).
FOX’s Glee was the top social broadcast program for the month of July with 31% broadcast social share against the total Broadcast conversation for July, followed by CBS’s Big Brother with 11%. Rounding out the top 5 social broadcast programs for the month of July were FOX’s Family Guy (10%), FOX’s The Simpsons (9%), and CW’s Gossip Girl (5%). Out of the top 5 social broadcast programs, only CBS’s Big Brother aired new episodes during the month of July.
HBO’s True Blood was the top social cable program for the month of July with 10% cable social share against the total Cable conversation for July, followed by USA Network’s Monday Night Raw with 7%. Rounding out the top 5 social cable programs for the month of July were VH1’s Basketball Wives (6%), ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars (6%) and MTV’s Teen Wolf (3%).
