Bad Girls Club is Back on Social TV

Bad Girls Club  is back on Oxygen for an all new season 8. The inaugural episode kicked up 415K social mentions making it the most social program on television last night. In a rare feat, the program won more attention than both a Republican debate and the incredibly popular cable drama, Pretty Little Liars.

Twitter Activity 1/23

Last year’s season 7 had an impressive run, and the telecast never slipped from a top five rank on Trendrr.tv’s cable charts. Early on in the schedule it competed with, and occasionally lost to,  social TV staples like VH1’s Basketball Wives and WWE Raw.  However, in the last seven episodes it was ranked #1 six times.

In last night’s premiere BGC outdid both VH1’s Love & Hip Hop and WWE Raw. Total social activity numbers for the BGC season 8 premiere were up almost 50% from the premiere of season 7 last year.
