Top Ten Shows of January (and the Top Ten Within)

Once upon a time people gathered round the water cooler to discuss the shows they watched on television the night before. Today, the ‘physical’ water cooler is being replaced by the ‘virtual’ one that social networks have helped create.  Trendrr.tv is at the water cooler, and we’re taking notes.

We’ve noticed that when viewers talk about one show they often talk about others in the same breath. The reasons for referencing multiple shows vary from drawing comparisons to make recommendations and more.  Trendrr.tv has decided to round up the most frequently referenced shows within the top ten social TV shows.

In no particular order, the top 10 shows of January 2012 are:

Jersey Shore (MTV)

WWE Raw (USA)

Bad Girls Club (Oxygen)

Pretty Little Liars (ABC Family)

Southpark

Simpsons

Big Bang Theory

American Idol

Family Guy

How I Met Your Mother

And the top 10 shows that were mentioned in those conversations are:

Homeland

Pretty Little Liars

Curiosity

Love & Hip Hop

Gossip Girl

2 Broke Girls

The Lying Game

Hart of Dixie

Modern Family

Parks and Recreation
